We celebrate turning 50 episodes old in style by chatting to the one and only Randy Bowen of Bowen Designs! It’s a great chat as we cover Randy’s background before Bowen Designs, including his work on the Death Dealer statue based on Frank Frazetta‘s artwork, what it’s like to run Bowen Designs, and then Ben and Scott each have a go at selling their pet characters as the next Bowen Statues. You might be surprised by the response!

Gungan Warrior

Gungan Warrior

Even though as a species, Gungans have not received the same amount of toy love as, say, Ewoks, I have always considered them a pretty cool alien race, Jar Jar notwithstanding.

Grinnah the Goblin

Ahsoka

Ahsoka

Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano is another of the characters included in the last wave of Hasbro’s Star Wars Vintage Collection. This means, of course, that the figure was sculpted in the realistic style.

Kat (Series 6)

Kat (Series 6)

One thing that stood out for me from the Halo: Reach game, was the inclusion of female Spartan soldiers with distinctly female sets of armor. Sure, there is only one such character in the game, but that didn’t prevent McFarlane Toys from producing a generic pink Spartan as well as a couple of versions of Lieutenant Commander Kat.
