Heroic Age Iron Man
While I usually shy away from collecting figures in scales other than 3.75-inch, I find it hard sometimes to resist buying characters or versions of characters when they made them in different scales.

Captain Rex (Phase II Armor)
Clone Captain Rex is a character that has been made into action figures a few times now in the Clone Wars collection by Hasbro, starting with a really cool wave 1 release and sprinkled throughout subsequent waves up until this last one.
Clayton Carmine
I was not camping at the bit back when NECA announced that they were going to produce action figures in the 1:18 scale for the Gears of War videogame. They already had a fairly successful run producing larger 8-inch scale figures for that same license, so I failed to see the reasoning behind the scale change.

Joe Con 2013: Diorama Contest
I was completely blown away at the quality of dioramas on display at Joe Con 2013. You can tell the folks that put these together are passionate about their hobby for sure. I could have spent all day looking at just these and probably not seen all the cool details. I had to include […]
Name That…Floppy Hat
This is not from a wrestling figure. I’m actually not sure this character ever wore a hat to be honest.
Astonishing Beast
It’s been quite a while since I picked up an X-Men comic book, so when images of the more recent Beast action figure started appearing online, I was rather puzzled by his appearance. A lot of the character’s personality got lost in translation in the comic books I used to read in the […]
Firefly (Retaliation)
Other than Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, I would say that Firefly is one of the more iconic characters in the vintage G.I. Joe line, as evidenced by the couple dozen versions released for the character since then.
Name That…The Letter H
Today’s Name That is brought to you by the letter H. If you don’t get that, you have my sympathy.
Ponda Baba
One of the more memorable aliens in the Cantina Scene from the original Star Wars movie is the Walrus Man, later named as Ponda Baba in West End Games’ Galaxy Guide 1: A New Hope, published in 1989.
Name That…Robe Dude
If I just got out of the shower and answered the door in a robe. I’d looks like this shadow. Good thing I don’t answer the door or own a robe.
Name That…Brass Nipple
I liked the title because its sounded like the name of a really rough pirate type bar.

Blind Bag Star Wars Angry Birds
I’d never gave Angry Birds a second thought. I’d seen screen shots. I understood what it was. I just didn’t have interest. It didn’t help that it was way over merchandised. Including the slew of stuff that was released to coincide with the Space and Star Wars releases. What changed you may ask? My mom. […]
Legolas Greenleaf & Tauriel 2-Pack
Well, for some reason, The Bridge Direct decided to sell this set as part of the first series of action figures from their The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey line, which is unexpected in itself because none of the characters in this 2-pack even appears in the movie.
