8/24/13: 2 More Reasons for Happy GI Joe Fans
If you were here last week, I gave 4 reasons that the 8/24 /13 is huge for GI Joe fans….and I missed some. The four I had last week were: 1. 1-year Anniversary of 3D Joes 2. Dave from Flag Points Birthday 3. Launch of Vintage 3D Joes 4. Coil Con in Kokomo, Indiana […]
Storm Surge Armor Iron Man
Well, today I’ll be reviewing yet another Iron Man action figure that I find to be more deserving of being a part of your collection than any of the current 4-inch Iron Man 3 offerings by Hasbro, even though it is a repaint of a figure we got a couple of years back.
Destroyer Droid (Clone Wars)
Recently, I commented on how the regular Clone Wars Battle Droids tended to warm pegs at stores although, I do think that those guys will eventually sell, at the right price point, while the subject of today’s review, the Droideka, a.k.a. Destroyer Droid may be a harder sale.
Raphael
Today I’m reviewing the last of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Playmates Toys line inspired by the Nickelodeon cartoon series, the brooding Raphael.
4 Reasons 8-24-2013 is HUGE for GI Joe fans!
8/24/13 has turned into a perfect storm(shadow) of GI Joe goodness! Here’s 4 reasons why: 1. 1 Year Anniversary of 3DJoes.com! Congratulations! Even if you aren’t a GI Joe fan this is a fun sight to check out all of the rotating views of all your favorite Joes. You might also remember 3D Joes […]
Iron Man Mark 42
Well, avoiding the 4-inch Assemblers and the even cheaper single carded Iron Man figures was easier than I thought. These will eventually drop in price to a point where I may consider buying one or two just for archival purposes, but the one figure I could not let slip by is the 6-inch version of the latest Iron Man 3 armor.

Name That…Stance
This figure screams Captain Morgan to me. That’s what we need, alcohol mascot action figures.
Medusa (Lego)
In grade school, we studied mythology in one of my classes. All sorts of mythology from Norse to Greek. I remember during that time begging my parents to take me over to my public library to find books on Greek myths. (I was geeky even back then.) Around the same time Clash of the Titans […]
Archangel (Marvel Legends)
Well, after completing the Build-A-Figure from the Hit Monkey wave in Hasbro’s 2013 Marvel Legends assortment, I would not need to get any of the other figures which don’t have any extra piece packaged with them, Right?
Battle Droid (Clone Wars)
If I had to name one type of character that consistently warmed pegs at everywhere I went, looking for Star Wars figures, it would be the lowly CIS Battle Droid. These guys looked impressive in the Episode I trailer over ten years ago, but over time, they became a joke due to their […]
Michelangelo
It may be hard to believe but only recently I have been acquainted with the early TMNT comics by Eastman & Laird. Those comics are much grittier and darker in tone than the version of the Turtles we got to experience in the 90’s, although even back then, Michelangelo already was the light-hearted one.
Name That…The Stranger
You all seemed to love the floppy hat guy last week….so here’s another figure wearing a chapeau.
Superman & Krypto (Imaginext)
What do Superman and Iron Man have in common, other than their last names? Well, both had big budget movies released in the summer of 2013 and none of the toy-license holders could be bothered to produce decent action figures for them in the 3.75 inch scale.
