A good number of the 3.75-inch action figures we are getting from the first few waves in the current Star Wars Black Series are actually designs that were to be released originally for the Star Wars Vintage Collection by Hasbro.
41st Elite Clone Trooper
The 41st Elite Clone Trooper uses the same basic body mold updated for the Vintage Collection, paired with a Phase II helmet. So far, so good, as the details sculpted onto the armor looks sharp and the articulation is really excellent.

Mace Windu (CW20)
On one of my trips downtown I found this figure of Jedi Master Mace Windu (CW20), released a couple of years ago in Hasbro’s Clone Wars line.
Groot
For me, one of the things that made this Groot figure so attractive is the fact that it can be used to serve a wide number of roles, either as a generic Ent, a Forest Elemental or simply as a really big Groot to go along my Marvel Universe figures.

One of my favorite action figure molds in the modern Star Wars lines is that of the super articulated Clone Trooper, released by Hasbro way back in 2005 during the heyday of the Revenge of the Sith line.

Rocket Raccoon
One thing from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie trailer that really struck me as completely bizarre was seeing the CGI Rocket Raccoon being such a bad-ass. Right there I knew that Hasbro had to make toys of that character and that I would buy them, no questions asked.
Iron Man (Deep Space Armor)
The very first figure I bought from the Guardians of the Galaxy assortment in the Marvel Legends Infinite Series was actually not in the movie at all. It was none other than Iron Man in his Deep Space Armor.
Darth Vader (Bespin Encounter)
Well, not surprisingly, Hasbro did include yet another version of Darth Vader in the first wave of 3.75 inch figures from the Star Wars Black Series Collection.
Nova (Marvel Legends)
Since I had already decided that I wanted the Groot BAF, I went on and bought Nova, even though I did not expect the figure to be as good as it turned out to be.

Ever since I saw Revenge of the Sith, the notion of a horde of wookiees charging into battle has held a certain appeal to me.
