Hawkeye (Movie Series)

Hawkeye (Movie Series)

Today I’ll be taking a look to the Hawkeye action figure released by Hasbro as part of the Avengers Movie Series exclusive to WalMart in both the USA and México.

Captain America (Movie Series)

Captain America (Movie Series)

One character I remember rather fondly from my Mego days is Captain America. When the Captain America: The First Avenger movie came out, I was rather excited for the opportunity to get an updated version of his costume, but for whatever reason I was unable to really sink my teeth into that line.

Loki (Movie Series)

Loki (Movie Series)

I don’t have a complicated algorithm to select a second figure after I getting the one I want most, other than simply pick whatever character seems to be the less abundant on the pegs on a second visit, and that one was today’s review subject, none other than Loki.

Hulk (Movie Series)

Hulk (Movie Series)

Movie Series Hulk is well over 8 inches tall and quite heavy. From what I can tell, the body proportions are quite accurate to the CGI model seen in the movie, but even with this height, this Hulk may still be not quite the right size in relation to the regular 6 inch Marvel characters.

It is Thursday, once again. Well, not really, but all the same, today I bring yet another Thor action figure. This time it is the Avengers Movie Series Thor, released ny Habro as Walmart exclusives in the USA around the end of summer 2012.

Iron Man Mk.VII (Fusion Armor)

Iron Man Mk.VII (Fusion Armor)

Well, after getting the Shield Launcher Captain America from the Avengers line and seeing it was not as bad as I feared, I convinced myself to go ahead and buy another figure, this time the Iron Man Mk.VII armor from the Movie Series sub-line.

Thor (Shock Strike)

Thor (Shock Strike)

Even though I like Thor as a character, I didn’t get any of the movie-style action figures made of him back when his solo movie came out last year. I did consider getting the casual version of him, but the priority of getting that version never really rose above other concerns. So, when the Avengers line finally was announced I planned on finally getting a Helmsworth Thor, only to be stopped cold in my tracks by the reports of limited articulation.

Hulk (Gamma Smash)

Hulk (Gamma Smash)

The one figure that instantly repelled me from the Avengers line was Hulk, before I went to see the movie. Afterwards, I started to have a change of heart because, after all, the Hulk rocks. By the time I went back to the store, still undecided if I wanted the 4-inch scale version or the larger 8-inch version, there were no more Hulks whatsoever.

Captain America (Shield Launcher)

Captain America (Shield Launcher)

Well, when the Avengers figure line started to show up at stores, I admit I was one of those bemoaning the diminished articulation Hasbro gave to these figures.  However, after being exposed to the movie in theaters a couple of times, I convinced myself that I really wanted a figure from this line and […]

Ultra.Poseable Spider-Man (Movie Series)

Even though Spider-Man toys are not uncommon at toy aisles, most of what I see isn’t too exciting either. The first wave of action figures released for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man movie didn’t deviate at all from the design approach we had seen since the Fiercest Foes of Spider-Man started a couple of years ago, consisting on mostly made-up costumes with outlandish color pallettes.

Reptile Blast Lizard (Movie Series)

Well, I was one of those people that were not too thrilled by the Internet images of the villain from the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man movie. Still, when the 10” toys started appearing on shelves, the designs looked interesting, even though that is a scale I normally don’t collect.
