WOS Comic “Average Schmoe”

Mrs. Nerd and I are a bit of reality TV junkies. Although, we’ve slowed down a bit. At the time these comics were created, the Bachelor and Average Joe were hot and the Spike show “Joe Schmoe” was a reality show parodying reality shows.

Discussing this over dinner, we came up with the idea for a Springfield reality show. Of course, we needed a bachelor to star in it, so we picked Smithers. He’s a guy who needs TV to find him a woman, right?
