Kyle Latino Sketches GI Joe
I’m going to break into my Joe Con posts to show off something I’m really happy with.
Every year at our local comic con, I typically ask Kyle Latino for a pulp character sketch. He really has the style down and gets those characters, so they are always fantastic. This year I changed it up, though. I was originally planning on asking for The Phantom. Unfortunately, Kyle’s dreams of drawing striped pants will have to wait a bit.
I changed it up at last minute and asked for a “1970’s GI Joe” with a beard. I saw gears turning right away. When I came back to Kyle’s table later to pickup my sketchbook, I was blown away. It even has a bonus gorilla!
