Spartan CIO
The CIO (Counter Intelligence Operator) Mjölnir GEN2 armor was one of the variants we got to see in the multiplayer levels from Halo 4. According to the lore, the Spartan CIO armor was developed specifically to offer an increased performance in espionage and counter-intelligence missions, rather than combat.
High Ground Bunker (Micro Ops)
The High Ground Bunker is one of the large-carded sets released by McFarlane Toys in their Micro Ops line. In Halo: Reach, High Ground is a multiplayer map that features this bunker as well as a couple other structures.
Halo 4 Master Chief (Series 2)
One thing McFarlane Toys does regularly with their Halo lines, is re-issuing Spartan action figures as much as they can. This holds true also for Halo 4, where for Series 2 we get treated to yet another release of the Master Chief in his more recent set of armor.
Micro-fleet Mantis Invasion
In 2014 we got to see a “new” scale in the Megabloks Halo range. The Halo Micro-fleet sets are very similar in concept to LEGO’s mini-creations, being built using only the smaller construction elements available in the parts inventory.
UNSC Booster Frame
One of the most memorable aspects of the animated short “The Package”, from the Halo Legends DVD, is the appearance of the UNSC Booster Frame.
Spartan Warrior
The level of detail on the Spartan Warrior is quite nice, with deeply recessed panels and heavily textured surfaces. The helmet has a narrower visor and extra armor that lends the appearance of a snout, but the design is still easily identifiable as a UNSC Spartan.
Kat (Series 6)
One thing that stood out for me from the Halo: Reach game, was the inclusion of female Spartan soldiers with distinctly female sets of armor. Sure, there is only one such character in the game, but that didn’t prevent McFarlane Toys from producing a generic pink Spartan as well as a couple of versions of Lieutenant Commander Kat.
Spartan Mk. VI
The Spartan I’m reviewing today is somewhat unusual. You’ll see, when McFarlane Toys started doing figures for the Halo: Reach game, they changed the scale slightly, so all of the figures they had released previously for Halo 3 ended up being shorter than the new ones.
UNSC Warthog Combat Edition (Halo 4)
One vehicle that had to be included in Jada Toys’ lineup for the Halo 4 line is the Warthog. Jada produced this vehicle in a couple different scales, both in the Combat Edition and High Gloss finish.
Generator Defense
McFarlane Toys produced the Generator Defense Deluxe Set as part of the sixth and last series of boxed sets shipped under the Halo: Reach label.
Spartan JFO (Series 6)
McFarlane toys released a JFO Spartan (JFO stands for Joint Fires Observer) as part of their sixth series of figures for the Halo: Reach line. Even though this Spartan was intended as an exclusive to Walgreen’s in the USA, everywhere else he seems to ship with the regular assortment of figures, mine bought from a Sears store in Mexico City.
Master Chief (Halo 4)
After a fairly successful run producing toys for the Halo games, McFarlane Toys is set to keep the winning streak with action figures based in the upcoming Halo 4 game
UNSC Mongoose (Combat Edition)
One of the new licensees for the Halo franchise is Jada Toys, a company better known for their line of die-cast cars, so it was something of a surprise when the announcement came that they were one of the license-holders to produce toys based in Halo 4.
Halo Megabloks Series 5 & 5.5
Well, one of my guilty pleasures are blind-packaged minifigs. And there is a good deal to choose from, from LEGO to the more varied Megabloks offerings.
Carter (Series 5)
Well, after five series of action figures based on the Halo: Reach license, there is only so much you can do to keep market interest high series after series, especially when the line relies in reusing three or four basic body molds for everything.
Spartan Gungnir Custom
The name Gungnir comes from Norse myths, as this was the name of Odin’s spear, reputed to never miss a mark. In the Halo universe, Project Gungnir was responsible of developing the Spartan Laser weapon as well as additional gear to be used in conjunction with the Spartan Mjölnir armor.
Missile Launcher with JFO Spartan
Well, one of the flagship items in the Halo:Reach collection by McFarlane Toys is the UNSC vehicle known as the Warthog. This vehicle is pretty much the workhorse of the UNSC army and it is designed to take on a number of roles in the battlefield. However, this review is not going to be about that piece. Instead, I want to let you know about one of the Vehicle Upgrade Sets released in Series 3 of this line.
Spartan Air Assault Custom (female)
One of the most striking aspects of McFarlane’s Halo: Reach line (apart from the scale change, that is) is the inclusion of female Spartan’s to the UNSC ranks.
Spartan Military Police Custom (Blue Team)
I must say that I was not immediately taken with McFarlane’s Halo: Reach line. I started buying the figures when they debuted their Halo 3 line-up, but the Reach Spartans were not an immediate hit with me.
Master Chief (Halo 2)
Ever since McFarlane started working the Halo license, the one character they have kept getting out every year has been that of the hero of the saga, Master Chief also known as John-117.
