R2-D2 (Clone Wars)
One character I just don’t get figures of that often is R2-D2. It is not that I don’t like him, quite the contrary, but I just don’t see the need to get every variation Hasbro makes once I have a perfectly good version of the droid.
Donatello
I do remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze from the late 80’s and early 90’s. In fact, even though I was certainly not in the target age bracket for the toys, I still ended up buying some action figures of them.

#SadDestro is Sad
There are so many cool, creatative people on Twitter that it’s easy to get sucked in to reading everything. However, one of the absolute coolest Tweeters out there for toys with a sense of humor is @FakeEyes22. Honest, go check him out. He frequently does photo documentaries of Sad Destro. Just go with it. […]
Protector (Marvel Legends)
The third figure I picked up from the Hit Monkey wave of figures is Protector. Again, this is a character I don’t really know much about, but I do remember seeing him (or someone attired like him) in an episode of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, so I knew he is supposed to be some sort of Kree alien.
The 11th Doctor (Doctor Who Titans)
It may surprise some of you that we still have a Suncoast in our mall. I knew this but was surprised to see a full case of Doctor Who Titans plus 2 boxes there. Without the aid of Mrs. Nerd, I pulled two, and I was rewarded with my first duplicate, an Ood. I had […]

Alley Viper (Retaliation)
Well, the second G.I. Joe movie came and went, and the only good thing I have to say about it is that at least I got a few cool toys inspired by it, even if the Alley Viper I’m reviewing today did not really appear on screen.
Guardian
Guardian’s costume is a deceptively simple one, consisting basically in a skin-tight attire with a cowl, with a color scheme patterned after the Canadian flag. The only original piece of sculpting is the head, which is well detailed, although a little bit on the generic side of things.
501st Legion Clone Trooper (Clone Wars)
The 501st Legion Clone Trooper is the last clone trooper action figure offered in the animated style Clone Wars line by Hasbro, and it is fundamentally a straight repaintof the Mk.II Clone Trooper released in 2012.
The Silence (Doctor Who Titans)
I have to say while a bit of a retread of the Weeping Angels, I’m a big fan of the Silence. They are just creepy enough to stick with you. Once again I let Mrs. Nerd pick a Doctor Who Titans box and it paid off. She has an uncanny knack for this blind packed stuff. […]
Name That…Hoodie
For as much as people wear hoodies, there aren’t a lot of hoodie wearing action figures.
The Art of Evil by @Monsterfink
I wanted to make a post for this because the art is too cool to not spread the word about. Monsterfink has a a talent for bring bad guys to life. Lately, he’s been knocking it down with prints of group shots of the Villains and henchmen from everybody’s favorite cartoons. TMNT, MOTU, Inhumanoids. They […]
Hyperion (Marvel Legends)
The figure I’m reviewing today, from the Hit Monkey wave in Marvel Legends line is Hyperion. Apparently, the name has been used for more than one character in the Marvel Universe, sometimes the character turned out to be villainous, sometimes not, but the one we are talking about today certainly falls in the good-guy spectrum.
