Astonishing Cyclops (Marvel Infinite Series)
You’d probably be already familiar with this look, as Hasbro already produced an Astonishing Cyclops action figure with this costume design a couple years ago.
Bishop
The 90’s saw the inception of several antihero type characters in comics, many of which cultivated a definite anti-authority vibe to them. One such character is Bishop, a time traveling enforcer that came back to the late 20th century from a dystopian future.
Beast (Marvel Infinite Series)
Dr. Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast is one of the original students enrolled in the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters,
Lady Deadpool
A couple years back, in comics, the ever-popular Deadpool got into interdimensional travel, where he found slightly different versions of himself; one such incarnation had a complete set of XX chromosomes.
Armored Spider-Man
Apparently, Spider-Man has become one of those superheroes that genuinely can boast of a plethora of suits for every occasion.
Spider-Man Noir
Back in 2009, Marvel Comics developed an alternative continuity for some of their titles, combining elements of film noir and pulp fiction into what they called the Marvel Noir Universe.
Marvel Legends Walgreen’s Punisher
Truth be told. I should have wrote this before I opened the One:12 Collective Punisher. I didn’t. I’m sorry for that, because they are the same scale there I want to compare them. Which really isn’t fair since there is a 3x price differential. What I do like about this figure is that it is […]
One:12 Collective The Punisher: Accessories (Part 3)
Okay. This is the everything else post. Mainly what we’re finishing up with are heads, hands, and the stand. To capture the many moods of Frank Castle, Mezco included 3 different heads. One is normal, the second is open mouth yelling and the last is a beat up, end of battle head. One thing I […]
One:12 Collective The Punisher: Weapons (Part 2)
Frank Castle is a bit of an anomaly in a universe where the heroes can shoot webs, have unbreakable skin, or can envelop themselves in flame. He’s just a dude. And a dude fighting hand to hand isn’t going to cut. So The Punisher tends to favor all manner of weapons. Since a good portion […]
One:12 Collective Punisher (Part 1)
I think you guys know by now, I’m normally a 3.75″ collector. It’s what I’ve collected since I was a kid. With The Punisher being one of my favorite characters, I’m always tempted by other versions. I had been eyeing the Sideshow Collectibles version of him last year. Being a 12 inch figure, it was […]
The Punisher
The updated Punisher is built using the new male medium body we’ve gotten with characters like Blue Team Cyclops, Mysterio and Classic Captain America.
Iron Spider vs Electro
I was shopping for groceries the other day when a bright flash of color caught my eye behind the counter. It was the Iron Spider vs Electro 2-pack from the Playskool Marvel superheroes line by Hasbro.
Deadpool (Marvel Super Hero Mashers)
The Marvel super Hero Mashers line has to be one of the weirdest concepts Hasbro has put out there in quite a while. The idea of mixing and matching pieces from several of the more iconic Marvel superheroes to form a hybrid is one that at first sight may appeal mostly to the youngest of children.
Sandman (Marvel Infinite Series)
In a rather unusual fashion, Sandman was released with two different paint variants and apparently, in the same quantities so neither one was significantly more difficult to obtain.
Black Panther
With the third installment of the Captain America movies looming in the horizon, Hasbro has been rather sneaky and instead of revealing early too much about the movie designs, they opted to go for a more comic-inspired look for this Black Panther action figure.
Wasp (Marvel Universe Infinite Series)
I am not exactly sure how much is coincidence and how much is actual planning when I see Hasbro producing figures for second-tier characters way in advance of they becoming relevant due to a mention or an appearance in any of the Marvel movies.
Groot
For me, one of the things that made this Groot figure so attractive is the fact that it can be used to serve a wide number of roles, either as a generic Ent, a Forest Elemental or simply as a really big Groot to go along my Marvel Universe figures.
Star-Lord
To round up the reviews for the regular figures from Hasbro’s Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Infinite Series, today I bring you none other than the main hero, the infamous (in his own mind, at least): Star-Lord!
Gamora
Gamora is yet another action figure based on the movie design seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Rocket Raccoon
One thing from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie trailer that really struck me as completely bizarre was seeing the CGI Rocket Raccoon being such a bad-ass. Right there I knew that Hasbro had to make toys of that character and that I would buy them, no questions asked.
