Astonishing Cyclops (Marvel Infinite Series)
You’d probably be already familiar with this look, as Hasbro already produced an Astonishing Cyclops action figure with this costume design a couple years ago.
Bishop
The 90’s saw the inception of several antihero type characters in comics, many of which cultivated a definite anti-authority vibe to them. One such character is Bishop, a time traveling enforcer that came back to the late 20th century from a dystopian future.
Beast (Marvel Infinite Series)
Dr. Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast is one of the original students enrolled in the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters,

Sabretooth (Marvel Legends)
This version of X-Men baddie Sabretooth is another of those based off the Hyperion body mold, which is suitably bulky and tall. Sabretooth is massively muscular, and this particular version of his costume lacks any of the furry bits usually associated with the character.
Astonishing Wolverine (Marvel Legends)
Some time ago, I reviewed the Wolverine action figure released in the Hit Monkey wave of figures from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line.
Astonishing Cyclops (Marvel Legends)
The more recent Astonishing Cyclops uses the same basic body mold developed for Archangel and a variety of characters with similar physiques.
Colossus
Colossus was a 2010 release from the HAMMER Files series of figures and is also one of the very few characters that required completely unique molds to produce.
Wolverine (Marvel Legends)
Lucky me, the Wolverine released in this series is the one attired in the X-Force uniform, which is fundamentally his Astonishing costume with the yellow bits replaced by gray, or in this case, a slightly blue-ish silver color.
Astonishing Beast
It’s been quite a while since I picked up an X-Men comic book, so when images of the more recent Beast action figure started appearing online, I was rather puzzled by his appearance. A lot of the character’s personality got lost in translation in the comic books I used to read in the […]
Marvel’s Jubilee
Released as the 23th figure in Hasbro’s Marvel Universe Series 4, Marvel’s Jubilee is one of those rare comic book characters that actually show some aging, from her early teens to her now young adulthood.
Professor X
Released as the 22th figure in Hasbro’s Marvel Universe Series 4, Professor X is a very interesting addition to the line for a couple of reasons.

Magneto (Mega Bloks)
I have to admit Magneto wasn’t the figure I was going for when I picked him. I was trying for Silver Surfer. I didn’t realize Magneto had a cape and thought it was the surf board. Appearance: Magneto is one of those characters I’ve never quite understood the look of. Sometimes he’s really ripped and […]
Cyclops (Blue Team Uniform)
Cyclops isn’t necessarily one of my favorite Marvel characters in terms of his personality, but the way he is depicted in media always seem s to translate well into action figure form. There have been a couple of action figures made of him in Hasbro’s Marvel Universe line, but the version released as part of the second wave of figures in Series 3 is one I had been hoping to see for a while now.
Apocalypse
Apocalypse is one of those X-Men villains that I never really knew what their deal was at the time I was reading X-Titles semi-regularly. The whole “Survival of the Fittest” angle seemed a bit too ambitious to me, but I reckon it gave plenty of justification for almost anything the writers could come up with.
Wolverine (X-Men Uniform)
Wolverine action figures are not exactly scarce nor hard to find, thanks to the deluge of figures left-over from the X-Men Origin: Wolverine line, but the one version from Marvel Universe that really caught my eye was the revision of the figure sporting the Jim Lee designed Blue Team uniform.
Retro Review – Beast (Marvel Super Hero Showdown)
While I applaud Hasbro for taking the time to make action figures based on rather obscure characters in the Marvel Universe line, sometimes it feels like they are neglecting some fairly obvious choices, like say, the complete original X-Men roster.
X-Men Minimate DVD 4-Pack (Part 2)
Last time I reviewed Cyclops & Juggernaut. This time I’m taking a look at the other half of the X-men: Darktide Marvel Minimates 4-pack, Logan and Magneto. I thought it was an appropriate pairing, since these two have had their clashes over the years. Logan: I’m calling him Logan here because thats what the package calls him. […]
X-Men Minimate DVD 4-Pack (Part 1)
This is one of those things I’ve had for a lonnnngggg time and never quite got around to reviewing. In the first of 2 parts, I’m taking a look at two of the figures from the Marvel Minimates X-Men DVD 4 pack. This one came from Toys R Us along with a DVD of X-Men: […]
