Baron Zemo
Even though Baron Zemo had already been released in Hasbro’s Marvel Universe line as part of the Masters of Evil way back in 2012, he got a reprieve within the fifth and last series of figures.
Classic Captain America
Hasbro has had quite a large number of Captain America action figures made in recent years and even though I did pick up a fair share of them, my collection still lacked a classic version of him until the release of Marvel Universe Series 5.
Iron Spider
Hasbro released this Iron Spider mold a few years ago in Marvel Universe Series 2, but re-released it in 2013 as part of Series 5, which is the one I got.
Gray Hulk
One thing I did not know was that Hulk used to be gray back in his first comic book appearance, but apparently this caused problems in the printing process, so he had to be changed to green.
Ghost Rider (Redux)
I have never read a Ghost Rider comic. My exposure to the character is mostly limited to the 200X movies and the rare cameo on the few Marvel Comics titles I read sporadically.
Mysterio
There was one particular episode that got aired repeatedly on local TV, featuring Mysterio, whose image got pretty much branded into my brain.
Silver Surfer
If you recall, Silver Surfer was one of the characters released right at the start of the Marvel Universe line, back in 2009, and the same figure was also released the following year alongside his master Galactus.
Cloak
I barely remember reading a Cloak & Dagger story in a comic book. I do recall that I did not care much for it either, as the plot was extremely dated although the powers of the titular duo were also rather bizarre.
Rhino
One of the aspects I like most about collecting the Marvel Universe line is that characters with unusual bulk and design get released on a fairly regular basis, which adds a nice amount of variety to any action figure display.
Elektra
Even though I never really read Daredevil comics growing up, Elektra is one of those secondary characters that kick started the whole Ninjas-Are-Cool trend back in the day so, she was one of the characters I wanted the most to see in action figure form when the Marvel Universe line started.
Halo Megabloks Series 5 & 5.5
Well, one of my guilty pleasures are blind-packaged minifigs. And there is a good deal to choose from, from LEGO to the more varied Megabloks offerings.
Spartan Gungnir Custom
The name Gungnir comes from Norse myths, as this was the name of Odin’s spear, reputed to never miss a mark. In the Halo universe, Project Gungnir was responsible of developing the Spartan Laser weapon as well as additional gear to be used in conjunction with the Spartan Mjölnir armor.
