Nerd of the Year
I really have to appreciate the way Mrs. Nerd puts up with me. I’m quirky, collect toys, read comics, etc… And for the most part she doesn’t complain about it. And for that, I’ve been truly blessed for the last nine years.
She knew what she was getting into, since my screen name has been Engineernerd for as long as I’ve known her. Her on line ego is the Promo Diva (Check out her site Promodiva.com ). So I teach her about tech stuff, she schools me on marketing and writing. Well, she tries on the writing. And spelling, engineers are notoriously bad spellers. She’s also trying to break me of double spacing after periods.
Even though she doesn’t complain, she still likes to poke fun at my geekiness when she can. Today she sent me the following, just to remind me I’m her nerd. (Warning: That picture is a number of years old. Think more weight, age, and less hair. A lot less hair. The smile is genuine, cause Mrs. Nerd always makes me smile!)

I’ve long been a fan of your wife’s fine writing, and now I see that you, too, are an entertaining writer with a different take on things. I’m not into some of the topics you cover, but I’ll be reading your musings and comments on SciFi shows in the future.
