Playing With Fire (Part 2)
We’re really cooking with fire now. Can you name this fire accessory or is the yolk on you?
Shadow Agent
Some characters do their best work lurking in the shadows. This character is probably pushing the TV & Film Toys name to the limit.
Playing With Fire (Part 1)
I figured since the flower theme went over so well, I’d try another one. This time were playing with fire, literally.
Giran
Giran was released in 2009 as part of the fourth wave of red-carded Legacy Collection figures from Hasbro. This wave is inspired in the characters seen in the Episode VI: Return of the Jedi movie.
A Real Stumper
Maybe, Maybe not. I’d have been hard pressed to name this base to a figure. It appears to have had action feature removed before this stump was put into production.
Jawa & Security Droid
Frequent visitors to the site will know that I have a soft spot for Jawas. I think the pint sized scavengers just captured my imagination when I was a kid and didn’t let go. Frequent readers will also know that I like figures that are able to sit. With this most recent Jawa release we […]
Shadowy Figure
I thought we’d start this series off with a real shadowy figure. Well, the character is.
Swing Time
What we have here is a pretty nice little set of golf clubs. I can’t believe there haven’t been more figures that have came with golf clubs. Or Caddyshack figures, for that matter.
Willrow Hood
I know every one is saying who? Willrow Hood is better know as the Ice Cream Maker Guy from Cloud City. He’s seen briefly after Lando transmits the evacuation order. According to Wookiepedia, Willrow was a Rebel sympathizer who was taking a computer core to dispose of it before it could lead to the Rebel […]
Party Noisemaker?
This weapon has a pretty distinct design. That should help identify the correct figure this thing came with. Or will it be a case of mistaken identity?
Avatar Jake Sully (RDA)
Mattel released Avatar Jake Sully (RDA) in 2009 as part of the initial wave of 1:18 scale (3.75 inch) figures devoted to the Avatar movie directed by James Cameron.
Rex “The Doctor” Lewis
Ever since Episode One of Star Wars came out, I’ve made an effort to avoid as many spoilers for a film as I can without going out of my way. I really wanted to like “GI Joe: Rise of Cobra” before I saw it. But I had my doubts. As such, I really didn’t get […]
Neytiri
Avatar is a movie directed by James Cameron that will open at theaters in December 2009, although toys inspired by it have been surfacing as early as October 2009. Mattel released Neytiri in 2009 within the first wave of 1:18 scale (3.75 inch) figures in the toy line inspired by the movie. Neytiri is the […]
Tsu’tey
Out of the first wave of figures from Mattel’s Avatar toy line, I must say that the Na’vi seem to me to be the most interesting. Among them, is Tsu’tey from the Omaticaya clan.
I Spy
I think a good number of people will recognize this for what it is. The question is why would an action figure come with one?
Eytukan
The figure that practically sealed the deal for me in regards of picking up more figures from Mattel’s Avatar line was Eytukan, who is the chieftain of the Omaticaya (Bright Flute) clan and father of Neytiri.
These Aren’t the Droids Desktop Wallpaper
Alright, I can’t remember what caused me to want to make this. Sometimes I just get an idea and want to see it through. I really overuse the “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for” line. Ask Mrs. Nerd and my co-workers. Click the image for full size Wallpaper. [singlepic id=119 w=500 h=330 mode=web20 float=center]
Little Green Stick
For the figure this accessory came with it’s one of the most iconic. I know. It’s not much to look at, but it’s got it where it counts.
Totally Tubular
Alright. I’ll be honest if I saw this I’d have no idea what it is or what action figure it came with. It appears to be test tubes. Maybe a mad scientist’s accessory to develop a new addictive drug for the masses? Maybe it’s not test tubes at all.
