Assassin Droids (Clone Wars)
As a longtime SW collector, I was not too thrilled when Hasbro announced they would be investing resources to produce a toy line based on the then new Clone Wars TV show. Even though…
Anakin Skywalker
I’m not going to get to far into the issue at hand with this figure. This figure represents Anakin in Return of the Jedi before his digital replacement. No matter which side of that fence you are on, this figure came out at a time before the technology for digital replacement was born. Appearance: Anakin […]
Thi-Sen (Clone Wars)
For me, one of the most interesting episodes in the second season of Clone Wars was Trespass, were we get to see new environments and more importantly, new character models developed for the CGI series.
Gelagrub Patrol
Generally, the Star Wars Battlepack format has been good to fans. In a box you get several figures and accessories for a cost that oftentimes is lower than what you’d pay for each individually carded figure.
Leesub Sirln
In fact, there are a lot of tiny details that bother me in this figure, like the skimpy silver outfit, the pink plastic skin or the oversized cranium. Oddly, putting all of these together doesn’t immediately translate into a plastic abomination; so further analysis might be in order.
4A-7 Spy Droid (Clone Wars)
Seen only in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie from 2008 and released by Hasbro in the third wave of figures from their Clone Wars line, 4A-7 appears to be an Arakyd Industries RA7 series droid, although from the neck down the basic structure is that of a Cybot Galactica’s 3PO series protocol droid.
Nien Nunb (B-Wing Pilot)
Hasbro released Nien Nunb in 2009 as part of the fourth wave of red-carded Legacy Collection figures, a wave inspired in the characters from the Episode VI: Return of the Jedi movie.
Major Panno
Hasbro released Major Panno in 2009 as part of the fourth wave of red-carded Legacy Collection figures, a wave inspired in the characters from the Episode VI: Return of the Jedi movie.
Plo Koon
The latest Plo Koon figure comes from the 2010 Legacy Collection, and whether or not is yet another step towards delivering the definitive version for the character is subject to some debate.
Malakili Madness
When Errex sent in his review of the new version of Malakili, I thought it would be a great chance to look back at the other versions, as well. Considering his limited screen time, it’s pretty amazing this overweight zoo keep has had three figures. Check them all out: Current Version POTF2 Version Vintage Version
Malakili (Rancor Keeper)
Malakili is a character whose claim to fame comes from being heartbroken when Luke Skywalker kills the Rancor at Jabba’s Palace by squashing the creature with a spiked door.
Malakili (Rancor Keeper POTF2)
In the nineties, Hasbro decided that the time was right to bring Star Wars figures back to the world. In hindsight, that was probably a great decision. The original Star Wars generation had reached an age where they had disposable income and were feeling nostalgic for their childhood. At this point Power of the Force […]
Rancor Keeper (Kenner)
Ironically, Kenner’s Star Wars figures are what started my figure collection back when I was wee Nerd. However, I’ve never reviewed a vintage figure on the site. I’ve review other vintage stuff, but never a Kenner 3 3/4″ figure. To continue the Rancor Keeper theme, I decided he’d be the first. You all know him. […]
Clone Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (Space Suit)
Hasbro released this Obi-Wan Kenobi figure in 2009 as part of the ninth wave of figures from The Clone Wars line. This series of figures are based upon the CGI Clone Wars TV show airing on Cartoon Network, and this time the Jedi master wears a decidedly retro styled spacesuit, complete with fishbowl helmet and rocket pack.
Giran
Giran was released in 2009 as part of the fourth wave of red-carded Legacy Collection figures from Hasbro. This wave is inspired in the characters seen in the Episode VI: Return of the Jedi movie.
Jawa & Security Droid
Frequent visitors to the site will know that I have a soft spot for Jawas. I think the pint sized scavengers just captured my imagination when I was a kid and didn’t let go. Frequent readers will also know that I like figures that are able to sit. With this most recent Jawa release we […]
Willrow Hood
I know every one is saying who? Willrow Hood is better know as the Ice Cream Maker Guy from Cloud City. He’s seen briefly after Lando transmits the evacuation order. According to Wookiepedia, Willrow was a Rebel sympathizer who was taking a computer core to dispose of it before it could lead to the Rebel […]
