Iron Man Mk.VI (Movie Series)
One thing you can’t help but notice is that a couple of the 6-inch scale figures in The Avengers Movie Series by Hasbro are actually molds that had been used for a previous movie line.
Imperial Grunt
One of the changes introduced in the Halo 4 game was that the Grunt species, the Unggoy, got a new veteran rank called Imperials.
Captain America (Movie Series)
One character I remember rather fondly from my Mego days is Captain America. When the Captain America: The First Avenger movie came out, I was rather excited for the opportunity to get an updated version of his costume, but for whatever reason I was unable to really sink my teeth into that line.
Loki (Movie Series)
I don’t have a complicated algorithm to select a second figure after I getting the one I want most, other than simply pick whatever character seems to be the less abundant on the pegs on a second visit, and that one was today’s review subject, none other than Loki.
Super Battle Droid (Clone Wars)
The Geonosian-made Super Battle Droids were something of a surprise back when Episode II came out, being tougher and more ruthless than their cheaper cousins. They were also much less memorable because they absolutely lacked any hint of a personality.
Cortana (Halo 4)
Back when McFarlane Toys announced they would be producing a new, articulated version of Cortana, the A.I. companion of Halo’s Master Chief, everybody hoped for a full-fledged action figure
Radiation Rocket Leader (Avengers Assemble)
Most of the pieces in Radiation Rocket Leader actually come from the Skrull Warrior mold we got in the comic-inspired segment of figures from the Avengers line
Thunder Axe Thor (Avengers Assemble)
Marvel’s Thor is one of the characters released by Hasbro as part of their toy line associated to the Avengers Assemble TV show.
Darth Maul (Black Series)
Darth Maul was the character people was really excited about back when the Star Wars 6 inch Black Series was announced although, Was it mostly hype? Or does the figure actually merit the amount of scalping going on? Well, read for my impressions on these subjects and more.
City Hunter Predator (Ghost)
According to the back of the package, this Predator is also known as “Ghost” and is a member of the Lost Clan, which are the group of aliens that appear right at the end of the movie.
Classic Captain America
Hasbro has had quite a large number of Captain America action figures made in recent years and even though I did pick up a fair share of them, my collection still lacked a classic version of him until the release of Marvel Universe Series 5.
Kamen Rider Gaim – Arms Change Orange Arms Review
Here’s where it all comes together for Bandai’s Kamen Rider Arms change figures. Just like the show, you can pop a fruit on their shoulders and transform their armor. Yeah, it’s a gimmick, but it’s one that is done well here. They took some effort to make the fruits fold up like they do […]
Kamen Rider Gaim – Arms Change Basic Figure
There are a number of different Kamen Rider Gaim figures. Ranging from zero articulation to Figuarts level. My original intention was Gaim was going to be my first Figurarts figure. However, the mid range “Arms Change” series figures were just too tempting. If you read Monday’s take on the show, you know that this version […]
Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot (Black Series)
To be honest, one of the figures I was less excited about from Hasbro’s Star Wars Black Series was precisely this version of Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing pilot uniform.
Spartan Warrior
The level of detail on the Spartan Warrior is quite nice, with deeply recessed panels and heavily textured surfaces. The helmet has a narrower visor and extra armor that lends the appearance of a snout, but the design is still easily identifiable as a UNSC Spartan.
Iron Man Mark V (Redux)
On one of my recent trips downtown, I found another version of the Iron Man Mark V suit, only, this was released as part of the Iron Man: The Armored Avenger line.
Drone Attack (Call of Duty)
The set contains 95 building pieces and consists in one drone weapons platform and one minifigure with accessories.
Iron Spider
Hasbro released this Iron Spider mold a few years ago in Marvel Universe Series 2, but re-released it in 2013 as part of Series 5, which is the one I got.
R2-D2 (Black Series)
When I learned about the sightings of the first wave of 6-inch Star Wars Black Series in my city, I was reluctant at first but after a little pondering, my intention shifted from getting just the one Sandtrooper to maybe picking up the R2-D2.
RoboCop 3.0
I just assumed that Jada Toys would simply paint the RoboCop 1.0 black and call it a day, but as it turns out, I was completely wrong.
